About Us

Than Institute, an established skills training centre in Kuala Lumpur since 1999, is committed to lifelong education in entrepreneurship and STEM—beginning from early childhood and continuing throughout life.

Our mission is to make quality STEM skills education accessible and affordable to children across Malaysia. We aim to spark interest in the natural connection between business and STEM in everyday life, while addressing the perception that STEM careers are mundane or unrealistic.

We specialize in practical, hands-on programs for learners aged 9 to 17, covering Business, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resource Management, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). Key modules include Data Analysis, Coding, Web Development, E-Commerce, Basic Python, Basic Cybersecurity-Cyber Hygiene and tools like Microsoft Office, ERP, CRM, SRM systems and Responsible AI.

Following educational reforms such as the removal of UPSR and PT3, early education lacks consistent assessment. Many schools face unequal access to quality resources, widening the education gap. Than Institute addresses this by offering structured, practical learning at an affordable cost—helping students use their time wisely while gaining relevant, employable skills.

We believe that integrating business and technical knowledge is vital. Through engaging, interactive education, we help students enhance their academic performance and real-world capabilities, including communication and report-writing skills.

Than Institute also offers bridging programs for students planning a gap year before university, especially those entering business and STEM fields—ensuring a smoother transition into higher education.
