About Than Institute
Than Institute, an established skills training centre in Kuala Lumpur since 1999, is committed to lifelong education in entrepreneurship and STEM — beginning from early childhood and continuing throughout life.
Our mission is to make quality STEM skills education accessible and affordable to children across Malaysia. We aim to spark interest in the natural connection between business and STEM in everyday life, while addressing the perception that STEM careers are mundane or unrealistic.
Bridging the Education Gap
We specialize in practical, hands-on programmes for learners aged 9 to 17, covering Business, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resource Management, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and STEM. Following educational reforms such as the removal of UPSR and PT3, early education lacks consistent assessment. Than Institute addresses this by offering structured, practical learning at an affordable cost — helping students use their time wisely while gaining relevant, employable skills.
We also offer bridging programmes for students planning a gap year before university, especially those entering business and STEM fields — ensuring a smoother transition into higher education.
